You May Call Me TJ

First let me introduce myself. My name is Michael Thomas Jefferson, but you may call me ”TJ”. I know you may be a little confused by me being called “TJ”. Let me take a minute to explain. Around my sophomore year in high school I began to notice a trend. It seemed like everywhere I went there was another Michael around. In school, there have been as many as three Michael’s in the same class. I got tired of turning around everytime I heard Michael yelled out in the halls. So I decided I’ll go by something else and TJ seemed short and appropriate since some people jokingly called me that anyway.

I was born in Alaska in `82. I moved around some as a child because my parents were in the military. I ended up in Fayetteville, NC and spent most of my life here.

As I lived in Fayetteville I started drawing cartoons at a young age. I would always draw my favorite tv characters. My favorite was Ninja Turtles. I really liked drawing and progressed on to draw portraits.

As I learned more and more I started practicing with different mediums and techniques. I have used a variety of things like: graphite, charcoal, conte crayon, color pencil, and scratchboard. I have never been really big on painting. Although, I have painted oil, acrylic, watercolor, and some air brushing.

I hope thats enough to learn a bit about me about me for now.
